3 months ago⭐⭐⭐ We visited El Volcán de Mi Tierra once before COVID, so my family and I were excited about its reopening. Unfortunately, this time the experience was not the same. The first person who assisted us seemed rushed, took only a few orders, and left without taking mine. We were told that food was not served on glass plates, and we had to carry the food to our table ourselves. I honestly would not have minded if I hadn’t seen another family being served at their table, well presented and on glass plates, service that was provided by the owner. The owner is a wonderful person—very kind and attentive—and she truly deserves for her restaurant to be successful. I hope they can improve the consistency of their service, as the place has a lot of potential.

3 months agoGreat place for Nicaraguan food in the Tampa Area. We have carne asada (grilled steak) with tajadas (fried green plantains) and queso frito (fried cheese) which makes up a fritanga in Nicaragua. The food was spot on. It was so good that my wife (who is originally from Nicaragua) told me we no longer need to go to Miami or Orlando for Nicaragua food. My daughter who had pollo asado (grilled chicken) said it was the bomb(very, very good). The place is very spacious and they serve just about any Nicaraguan meal one can think of depending on the day of the week. A good meal to ask for is Baho (which is a slow roasted meat with plantains and yuca and other seasonings wrapped in banana leaves).

5 months agoI guess I came in expecting a WOW experience that I did not get. you would think that for the high prices their portions will be generous but instead it simply was not enough. They limit their portions a lot where you are still going to be hungry after you finish. A full review on my Tik Tok channel coming up. Should be up by this weekend.
