See All ReviewsAbsolutely fantastic. Got the lunch chicken burrito special and it was great. Salsa selection is nice…try the pineapple habenero. Mexican Coke is always a plus. Not sure what some of the other reviews are on about. It’s a new spot and maybe they were seeing some of the growing pains early on. It is a different style of Mexican food than your typical chains…this is a GOOD thing.
Since moving to Trumbull County, I have missed the wide variety of high quality ethnic foods that the DC area offered.Aside from some Italian an Greek, there isn't much variety. Whaka Taco changed that up. High quality food, nicely prepared, beautifully presented. A diverse menu. Great value lunch menus. $8 for two tacos, two side, chips and salsa is good in my book.7 min from orders to food on the table. There is room for improvement. Prices on non-specials are high. Seven buck for street corn is off the wall. The rice and black beans were bland, seemingly ununseasoned. But Wahaka Taco offered a glimmer of hope for commercial diverse cuisine in the area. They do Grub Hub and DoorDash. But add delivery fees and surcharges to already high prices and it isn't worth it. That said, it's great food. Try it.
This is basically a really nice brick and mortar food truck. $12 tacos and $12 burritos & chimichangas that do not come with any sides. Nowhere to sit except window seats and outside. I was actually really happy with the food. It was honestly very good and far better than Chipotle! They put a lot of shredded cabbage and radish everywhere. (Maybe it looks fancy? Maybe that's "authentic" now?) Over-all, I would not hesitate to try the place again but there's no shortage of Mexican restaurants that give you full service for the same price.
