See All ReviewsThis is some of the best smoked meat in town. The seasoning is subtle which allows the natural flavor of the meat and smoke to shine.
Stopped by Wandering Joe’s after kayaking and was welcomed with a laid back and relaxing atmosphere on a perfect day with blue skies, clouds and sunshine. Joe is very nice and hospitable. We ordered the street tacos with chicken and pork loin club (both pictured) as well as the pulled chicken sandwich and queso and chips. The food is great and you could tell lots of care was put into it. The queso is extremely delicious, we even picked up some queso and chips to go on our way out! The jalapeño sauce was quite a delicious and fresh accompaniment to the food as well. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone in the area and I would come back if I was visiting Front Royal again!
Found this hidden little food gem when we stopped by the meadery downtown. Wandering Joe’s is tucked away right behind Saga Meadery. Just wander back behind the meadery and grab some grub. Joe(the owner’s real name!) has several food items to choose from but I recommend you try them all(maybe not in one sitting) especially the homemade fresh queso which goes great with the Puff’s Sweet Heat mead! Definitely check out Wandering Joe’s, you won’t be disappointed!
