I noticed all the poor reviews and almost cancelled my order because the food is a bit pricey. I’m glad I didn’t though because the food was actually really good. I had no complaints and I ate every last bite. I got the pulled pork which was drizzled in delicious BBQ sauce. The bread was a bit hard but it made little difference in taste. The Mac n cheese was the best part, and the collard greens were just right. Don’t let bad reviews dissuade you, go see for yourself!
This was possibly the worse experience in service and quality I can remember having in recent years! I ordered and paid for a half brisket days prior to my party, it was to be ready for pickup by 2pm on New Year’s Eve for a 4pm serving. It not only wasn’t ready nor was it made on premise. I had to have a friend pick it up and run it to my clients home with barely seconds to spare . In my panic mode I ordered 2 racks of ribs in case the brisket didn’t make it..$60 NO Sides!! Crazy huh! And now the bad part ...the brisket was so dry no amount of sauce could save it! The ribs weren’t worth the money and not fresh tasting! Never again will I do business with them! I’m still fuming at the experience
The meals are over priced. I got the pork ribs which were very salty and you only get 4 for $16. The sauce isn't grilled on them its are just poured over. The green beans and baked mac and cheese was okay. The corn bread was old, dry, and tasted stale. My friend got the oxtail and was very disappointed because of the amount they gave. For the amount of money spent she could have gone to a jamaican restaurant and gotten double if not more. She did say the black beans were good. Oh and if you use a debit card to pay and tip the owner keeps it and the waitress gets nothing.
