See All ReviewsLived here for almost three years and this is a great complex. Josh, Anthony and Phil are always zipping around on their golf carts making sure everything is ship shape. Although I haven't had many issues, the couple I have had were addressed either the same day or the next. The grounds are really well kept all year round, too. My only issue is with the mandatory heat from Oct to May (you can't use the AC when the heat is turned on), but that's partly because my bedroom is directly above the boiler (you can feel the heat through the floor!), so I bought a portable air conditioner. Highly recommend living here.
The rent is cheap for a reason. Don’t do this to yourself. The buildings are old and so poorly maintained. The definition of “landlord special”. My entire apartment was on a slope so my floors were uneven, none of my dresser drawers stayed closed. I spoke with neighbors in my building and they had the same issue. The windows are so old and in poor condition that you can feel the cold air coming through in the winter. I had an incident where carpenter ants chewed through my walls and were everywhere. Maintenance came to patch up the hole but did such a poor job that they ate through the patch and they had to repatch it again. Ants were EVERYWHERE. It was disgusting. The language in the lease and in the general communications is very hostile. They act like they hate you for living there. It is so extremely unprofessional. They know that they’re renting out old and poorly maintained apartments but they don’t want to pay to fix them so they put the burden on you for everything. My towel holder and toilet paper holder came off within my first month of living there. They are so outdated in their communication. Instead of sending an email or a message in a shared portal, they stick a note in your door.. which is outside. If it’s windy or raining and it blows away, that sucks, I guess you’ll never know what they were going to tell you. They’ll stick a piece of paper in your door telling you that they’re going to have PSEG come or the Fire Inspector come for the complex in 2 weeks and not give you an estimate on the day or time they’ll be at YOUR specific apartment. They’ll just say that “Fire Inspections will be happening from the 10th to the 20th” and it’s so arbitrary. I work from home and am on calls all day. Having them come by at whatever time they feel like within that window and then getting mad when I’m unavailable is so frustrating. They’ll enter your apartment if you don’t answer the door and claim that the note in your door two weeks prior was them giving advanced notice that they would be coming so they can enter. What if i was in the shower? Sleeping? They came in during a very important presentation of mine after banging on the door for 5 minutes. Just give appointments or more accurate timeframes. Since it’s an old building, you can’t turn the AC on until May. On those 80 degree April days, you’re going to hate that. The picture I attached is something they sent me once I gave notice that i was not renewing my lease. This sheet was not included in my original lease. This is excluding your security deposit. They are unreasonable, unfriendly, and will gaslight you when you try to go to them with any concerns. The rent is cheap for a reason. Thank god I took pictures of all the issues when I first moved in. If you decide to move in here, document everything. I am so glad I did.
I just renewed my lease for another year, Araceli is very friendly. Thanks
