Edited 2 weeks agoFood is a sodium bomb terrible, overpriced, and a Lone Star is $8 what’s the point? Don’t go here Edit for the strange and unprofessional owner who replies to every review: yes! A PBR that isn’t $8 and Taco Bell that tastes like something other than soy sauce would be a much better experience than this tourist trap bar and probably $50 cheaper.

2 months agoI genuinely had so much fun here. White Tiger is amazing. Great live music, great staff, cool people all around. This is a must if you're visiting Austin and doing the S. Congress walk. Steamed dumplings were amazing... I need to try more because whoever is in charge of the food really knows what they're doing. The games around also a plus, dogs a plus, seemed very kid friendly during the day. Just a great place. Not used to walking in somewhere and witnessing such talented live music. Really was a blast. White Tiger is awesome. Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere

4 months agoTL;DR: I did not expect the food to be SO GOOD, but WOW, I WILL BE COMING BACK! Food: + Boneless Chicken Karaage ($15) was well worth the price! The outside is so nice and crispy, while the meat inside stays tender. + Chicken Sando ($14) was interesting -- not necessarily one I would order again but not bad. The kimchi pairing with the sweeter sauce and chicken just was not my favorite. + Drunken Noodles ($15) was also delicious and probably my favorite dish of the three. The portion size is perfect for sharing, although I do wish there was a bit more meat. The noodles had a GREAT texture -- nice chewiness for sure. Seriously wonderfully done, I could've shed a tear at how much I enjoyed this meal. Service: Great for anyone with social anxiety, you can just read the physical menu or online version and then use Apple Pay on your phone. Super easy experience. Atmosphere: Since White Tiger is also a bar, it is understandably loud. Just keep in mind it will be difficult to have a full-on conversation while eating though. Otherwise, it's a lovely place on SoCo. There is an outdoor patio in the back with live music.

5 months agoA solid choice for a bar to start your night. They don’t have special cocktails but they have plenty of beer. They also have a big menu for shots if you’re into that.

5 months agoMy husband and I visited back in October. Loved the secret outdoor patio behind the cute bar scene with loud music. The loud music of the live band and the bar music did not interfere with one another. It was great! Until I got a mocktail at the outside bar. It was a cucumber spritz mixture, made up by the bartender with a garnish of a lime. I looked down and there's a small gnat or bug on the garnish. I was grossed out but just took the garnish off of my cup and moved on. I had taken a few sips. It tasted like simple syrup and club soda. I was unimpressed. I looked further at my drink and there were about three or four bugs in it. I took it back to the bartender and explained. She apologized and offered to make me another one. I declined and said I want a refund or comp my husband's next beer. She said that she only charged us a dollar for the drink So she will refund it. I said thank you and went back to listening to the music. My husband goes to the bar for the next round and she apologized to him as well then said " well it's an outdoor bar .." That is completely unacceptable and I've been to dozens of outdoor bars with no bugs in my drink. I looked around at other patrons who were drinking canned and bottled alcohol. I wonder why. If you go here, get a bottle or can. Do not trust the outdoor patio. I cannot speak for the indoor bar. I also think how the outdoor bartender handled it was very unprofessional.

5 months ago⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This place is such a hidden gem. Everyone talks about the bar, but do NOT sleep on the food in the back — it is next level. Everything I ordered was insanely fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The dishes were rich, perfectly balanced, and honestly some of the best bites I’ve had in Austin in a long time. You can tell real care and intention goes into the food, not just cocktails. It feels like you stumble into this secret restaurant tucked behind a cool, intimate bar, and suddenly you’re eating something that tastes like it belongs in a top-tier spot. Soooo delicious — every bite. If you go here, absolutely order food. This is not just a bar… it’s a full hidden culinary experience. Can’t wait to come back.

a year agoFun little dive bar (with food out back through a newer restaurant addition Tiger Den). They have 35 fun named shots, and just an overall chill vibe. Bartender was great, he was super helpful and quick with the drinks.
