5-Star Service & Atmosphere. Food Needs a Little More Love. I’m a firm believer in honest reviews, and while the meal itself didn't quite hit the mark, the hospitality here is absolutely top-tier. The Service & Atmosphere: From the moment I walked in, I felt incredibly welcomed. The waitress was polite, efficient, and attentive throughout the meal. I also had the pleasure of speaking with a gentleman who seemed to be the owner; he was extremely personable, accommodating, and made a point to stop and say hello. The diner has a comfortable, classic feel that makes you want to settle in. Service and atmosphere definitely saved the experience for me. The Food: The pricing is very reasonable and the portions are quite generous, though the flavors were a bit pedestrian. I ordered the Spicy Chili Cheese Omelet. The omelet itself was fluffy and well-filled, and while the chili had good flavor, it lacked the promised spice. I opted for fries on the side, but they weren't very crispy and had a generic, "frozen-to-store" taste. On the plus side, the Portuguese roll was toasted perfectly. It wasn't a bad meal by any means, just nothing to rave about. Verdict: I truly appreciated how welcome I was made to feel. I would stop by again to give the kitchen another chance based on the service alone, though I might explore other local options first next time I'm in the area.
Old diner with torn seat backs and service to match. Wife's meal arrived 15 minutes before mine. Both egg dishes. Cook didn't know how to poach eggs. When my Benedict arrived, eggs cooked totally through. Hollandaise sauce was wrong. Sausage wasn't cooked fully. Meal didn't set well in my stomach once home. Wouldn't recommend.
I go here for breakfast every chance i get with my dad, the food is great, people are nice, prices are good, classic diner its a bridgeport staple

An ideal spot for dining! Exceptional service with a friendly, welcoming staff. The food is absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!
We walked in and sat at a small table...realized it was to small and we moved. We had no problem getting our drinks, it was quick. Then we sat waiting over 10 min for a server to take our food order. She finally came but not to us...to the table next to us that came in well after us. When I said something, the server blamed us for moving our table (which we did within minutes of walking in so her excuse bears no truth to it.... SMH. Do your job right. And you will not have to worry about pissing folks off.... Food was good. Nothing fantastic but it was better we than the service. Also....Servers should not assume that white folks can't understand Spanish....I heard a few nasty things said...SHAMEFUL
I found White's Diner while looking for a local non chain place to eat before we left the area on a Sunday morning to return home. The diner had positive reviews so we decided to give it a try in support of local establishments. It's a small , quaint place located on a busy intersection and shopping plaza. The first challenge we encountered was finding a place to park, once I found a space we entered and didn't have to wait to be seated, which was nice since we were anxious to get on the road for the long trip back home. There was a bit of a wait from the time we ordered until the food arrived but it was worth it. The portions were large , served fresh and hot. I had to take the rest of my order in a to go box. I ordered blue berry pancakes, omelet with peppers and onions and a bowl of grits (I don't often eat grits at unknown restaurants) each of the items were prepared to order and were very good. The only negative to the experience is that we didn't feel the waitstaff was attentive after we placed the order, not once did she come by to see if we were enjoying the food, or if we needed anything else i.e. napkins, more juice etc. Even when I asked for the to go container another waitress handed it to me. I see a lot of the reviews complimenting the staff being bilingual and that's a plus as many Spanish speaking patrons entered the establishment and we could hear the conversations as they were seated and exchanged pleasantries with the staff. We didn't feel or receive the same type of welcome or exchange . I recommend the diner for breakfast, however, more consideration should be given to make all customers feel welcomed and appreciated.
Cozy, little place in the middle of a bustling shopping area. Seated right away staff was very courteous and attentive. Bi lingual staff as well. Food came out in good time, coffee had refills overall very pleasant experience 9/10
