I really wanted to love this place because of the reviews..but no.. not worth the detour. The atmosphere is nostalgic and the server was attentive and friendly throughout our visit. Unfortunately, the food just didn't live up to the reviews. We ordered sandwiches, but they were equivalent to a basic school lunch. The hot sandwich arrived cold. It is a neat spot to visit for the retro feel, but the kitchen definitely needs work
Absolutely love this diner. Went for dinner after riding the C&O with friends. Could not be more pleased with the service and food. The owners are there working (and probably 24/7). Totally going back!
Driving down I81, stopped by here for lunch. Cool interior, definite diner style atmosphere. Ample seating, no problem getting a table. Our waitress was excellent, very friendly, and checked on us throughout our meal. Made our day! Thank you! We both ordered the meatloaf, which was a good sized piece laid on white bread and smothered in gravy. There are two sides with it, between the two of us we picked mashed potatoes, french fries, green beans and roasted broccoli. The food was decent, nothing fancy, typical diner fare. The meatloaf was good, but the gravy was way too salty, had to scrape it off. The French fries were excellent and crispy, as was the roasted broccoli. The green beans however were extremely bland and tasteless. Mashed potatoes were average, again had to scrape off the way too salty gravy. Decent prices, around $11 per this type of hot open sandwich meal. They have a ton of choices on the menu, including a very large breakfast selection. I always wonder about places that have so many items to choose from…are they all done well, or just all done? Overall a decent diner meal. Would I go there again…why not. Would I recommend…sure.
The service was welcoming and outstanding as soon as we walked in the door. Great menu! Great food!! Great prices! Cozy atmosphere! Enjoyed our meals a lot. My gyro was delicious and my husband's smothered hamburger steak was incredible. The owners are simply delightful to talk to, hard workers, and provide excellent customer service. Definitely a new favorite spot and can't wait to go back. We highly recommend this diner.
What a perfect little retro style diner! Food was fantastic. We split a Nutella Waffle, a Cobb salad and the Monte Cristo sandwich. The turkey on the salad and the sandwich was nice thick cut roasted turkey breast slices. Not skinny deli meat, same for the ham. It was probably enough for 3 or 4 people. Also ordered the crab cakes to go. They smell amazing, and I hope they taste good too! Our server was very attentive and sweet. We got confused when ordering breakfast vs lunch money Cristo and she got us all squared away. We also split onion rings as an appetizer. Best onion rings I've had in a long time. The decor is fantastic, its clean, has a lot of charm to it. Will definitely be going back for more!
Great menu. Crab cakes were a lot better than expecting. Real crab, I know how hard it is to get all the shell out, only two pieces between both cakes. They have a great variety and fairly large selection of food.
I love supporting local small business and this diner made this review easy. The food was absolutely delicious, the wait staff was friendly and attentive, and the prices were very reasonable. I wholeheartedly recommend the Crab Swiss Melt. And if you're a Nutella person.....well how can you go wrong with Nutella French toast!? I hope this place sticks around for a long time, because sometimes all you need is some good basic diner food. And this place delivers in spades.
Our Williamsport diner finally opened, and it was worth the wait. I had the hot roast beef sandwich, and my husband had the chopped steak. Both came with 2 sides and my husband's came with soup or salad. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Service was fast and efficient. The only drawback I saw was they could have done a little better on the decor and painting. But we will be back to try their breakfast foods.
