Cheesesteak so good!!! Side of water ice π€
Looking for a cool treat stopped by the woodbine Custard Ranch or eat a burger.
The Custard Ranch is a well known soft ice cream stand in Woodbine. We have been bringing our children and grandchildren here for many years. The stand sells both soft-serve and regular ice cream and there are many options for sizes and flavors. The staff is polite and efficient. The reason for our giving them only a 3-star rating is that, when two of our four grandchildren ordered cones of soft-serve and asked for cups in case the ice cream started to fall, we were charged twenty-six cents per cup for the cups. This is the first place that we have ever seen that charges for the cup when a child gets an ice cream cone and it seems both cheap (although $0.26 for less than a nickel's worth of plastic is not cheap) and very customer unfriendly. At least they didnβt charge extra for the paper napkins. Should we return in the future, we will be sure to bring our own plastic cups.
Chicken cheesesteak sandwich was great, but what I want to rave about here are the milkshakes. They're richer and creamier than a normal milkshake because they're made with custard and they give you a good sized cup of it too.
Have been a custard ranch customer for over 30 years. Went last night and paid over $8 for a sundae that had hardly anything in it. The ice cream was only on bottom and didn't even cover spoon when standing straight up in the cup. Paid extra for extra topping cup was not even half way full including topping whipped cream and ice cream. I understand inflation and will pay for a sundae if it's worth it. Unfortunately this is the first time here it has not been. Super disappointed.
Food and ice cream are delicious! They even have "pup cups" with mini milk bones for your furbaby!
Friendly staff and good selection. Take out window or dine in. Large portions even with small sizes. Would recommend.
I have been ordering food from Woodbine Custard Ranch for at least 15ish years. Their food was always outstanding, and their service was exemplary. I ordered yesterday for the first time in 2024 and boy was I disappointed. To start with, they missed an item in my order, which is no big deal. It happens to the best of us. From there, it just got worse; the fried food we received from them (chicken tender platter and all fries) were soggy and disappointing (but fully cooked). Knowing I never had a bad meal I ordered something I normally wouldn't, a Tuna Melt. What I received was something I wouldn't be able to give away for free, the presentation and the taste were the equivalent of dog food. The new owners obviously are unable to keep the same standards the Rogers did, and I won't be eating there again. (Pictures attached)
