We had planned to go to one of the local bars and have a burger, but they all were closed. We ended up at Woody’s family restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. All of the dinner entrées were fairly priced, and there was a nice salad bar that included dessert even! I accidentally dropped the dressing ladle on the floor and made quite a mess. All of the staff were extremely gracious and told me not to worry about it. I was very impressed with how kind they were and how comfortable everyone made us feel given that we are not from the local area. We definitely will stop back next time We are here!
We just had another FANTASTIC Chicken Dinner from Woody's. We called ahead for our order and it was ready when we got there. It was still piping hot when we got home, and absolutely delicious ! While I was being discharged from OSF in Peoria, I told several nurses we were heading to Woody's for their famous Fried Chicken Dinner. 4 out of the 5 nurses I told had never been to Woody's in El Paso. The one nurse who has eaten there said, "That's the best fried chicken you'll ever get, ANYWHERE." The others said they're going stop at Woody's the next time they eat out. I know they'll love Woody's too ! The restaurant itself is cozy, clean and spacious. The staff has always been super friendly, very professional and attentive. When we have eaten "in" we also had the salad bar, which has always been extraordinary. Their vegetable soup is obviously homemade and it's the best I've ever had anywhere ! We're looking forward to stopping there again ! I can honestly HIGHLY RECOMMEND eating at Woody's if you want an extraordinary meal, great service and nice atmosphere. Additionaly, their menu is extensive and their homemade desserts are fantastic !
Great local diner with very friendly staff and generous portions. Worth the stop.
