a month agoThe customer service here is outstanding! I ordered the jerk chicken with a side of macaroni, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were amazing, and the portions were very generous. Kmar and his wife do an incredible job making customers feel welcome and satisfied. You can truly tell they care about the quality of their food and service. In my opinion, this is the best place to eat in Portsmouth. I highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back!

a month agoThe food was good🤤I came 2 Sundays in a row. The first time I had the jerk turkey 🦃 wings, Mac n cheese and cabbage. The cabbage was good but the Mac was more cheese than anything. That turkey wing tho OMG 😍just as tender n juicy! It was sooo good. The second time I got the jerk pork. Another HIT🤤 yes lawd it was real good. My only thing was with wait I was shocked it came out cold 🥶,then when I said something it was promptly out in a microwave that is already on the front counter🤔sooo that leads me to believe cold food is a reccuring issue. The actual dinning area the tables seem old and wobbly. I definitely recommend just off the food alone I'm sure new decor is in the works as they just opened not to long ago

a month agoWe drove from Hampton to Portsmouth to try their food and they didn't disappoint!! We got the ox tails, peas n rice, yams stew chicken, cabbage green beans. It was ALL AMAZING!!!!

2 months agoThis place wasn't what I expected. The portions were huge and the taste and flavor was amazing. I expected slow and tasteless. Definitely will be returning. I ordered the stew chicken, cabbage and plantains. Everything was good and this was a small. Pleasantly surprised!! Please support

4 months agoThe oxtails weren’t anything special and could have been a bit more tender. They were still good though and I’d get em again. Now the Mac and cheese and yams?? 5/5!!! They give you a lot too. Some of the best Mac I’ve ever had from a restaurant.

5 months agoDefinitely one of the BEST Jamaican restaurant i've eating food from, thought the other ones I tried were good but this beat every restaurant I've tried since being in Virginia, true traditional food. Jerk pork tender , juicy and perfectly seasoned. Didn't even need the jerk sauce but that was good too. You have to try it for yourself, will not be disappointed. As a Jamaican myself I'm not too big on oxtail because everyone don't make it right but my husband wanted it so I tried some of his I can say I'll be back here for the oxtail and much more because these oxtails came from heaven itself. The Mac and cheese omg cheesy and cooked to perfection, better than any southern Mac and cheese I've had. Can't wait to try other options. They give you a good amount of food as well just finished eating the rest for breakfast 😂 and still fresh and delicious. #1 in the 757! Yaadvybz bikkle Thank you for bringing real yaad food closer to me. Y'all will definitely be seeing a lot of me.

5 months agoFood was great, no notes. Ordered a 3 meals: 1 curry chicken snack with mac, 1 small curry chicken meal with Mac and green beans, and 1 small jerk with rice and peas and green beans. We arrived later in the day so they were out of a few sides but we enjoyed our meals. They also gave us some chicken soup. Ordered at the bar and waited for them to call our name. Portion sizes were very generous. My family agreed we would definitely eat here again.
