See All ReviewsWe have been waiting to try Yanni’s in Fleming Island. It’s rare to get authentic ethnic foods in FI so we were very excited to try it. Sadly, just not worth it. We had 2 salads and iced tea for lunch. The salad base was romaine lettuce, half a tomato, 3 kalamata olives, a teaspoon of feta with olive oil. One had 2 lamb chops for $21.00. For a LUNCH salad. The other was the same salad base minus one olive (lol) and added old crispy lamb gyro strips (like 2 bacon slices worth) for an extra $5 bucks. Total cost was $15.50. The gyro was definitely not fresh today. Total for 2 lunch salads was $36.50. Totally ridiculous. I doubt I will be back after paying that stupid high price for what we received. I’ll go to Greece. It will be cheaper!
I first became a fan of this restaurant when they showed up with their food truck outside my work at lunch time on NAS JAX. I tried their gyros once, twice with the seafood salad, and a third time again. And then I bought their food again three times afterwards from their restaurantin in Fleming Island. Absolutely consistently great each time. The gyros are so packed with meat and flavors I honestly only eat half of it then and there and save the second half for the next day. Heat it up in the microwave and it's literally as good as it was the first day. Their seafood salad is delicious! Their baklava is a bit wetter than I've had from other places but the flavour is outstanding! I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. Love them! And the staff is so nice.
Great food and atmosphere. we stopped in today and enjoyed a GREAT lunch. Food was very fresh and tasted wonderful. Looking forward to returning and trying something else. Cost was very reasonable for the portions (3 people).
