It's the old Doneraki off Fulton. The food was great, good service, great vibes. D.J. and live band. But it was hot. Only fans available is on the small dance area. No air ventilation. This was in Feb. When it's cold out. I'm not sure how it's in the simmer as this was my first time.
Yolax Mexican Restaurant ended up being such a nice surprise for me. The last time I went, I stopped in after running errands and was craving something comforting, and their food really hit the spot. The flavors tasted fresh, the portion sizes were solid, and the whole place had that warm, homey vibe that makes you want to sit and relax for a bit. The staff was friendly without being overbearing, and it felt like the kind of place where they actually care if you’re enjoying your meal. It’s not super fancy, but that’s what I like about it, it’s simple, good Mexican food that leaves you satisfied and wanting to come back.
Yolox is the safest, greatest and the best “chavorrucos experience” not in order but this is my opinion. Food: The chef needs a raise, I’ve tasted almost everything on the menu, my go to is the seafood, fresh and WELL seasoned. Try the chips with salsa Yolox if you need a snack ! The botana seca is my go to. Staff: they are all so friendly, from the owners that always on point checking on the customers, Tere is a waiter that never disappoints!! Music: Ultimo instinto is the best rock en español in Houston, no doubt! Juan the singer will visit the tables to greet the customers. DJ: Dj project is the bomb, trust me !! Drinks: be careful with the margaritas! Those are amazing but gosh ! Heavy ! Ifykyk, my go too is whiskey with cherries ! 🤌 Parking lot: 5 bucks but never had any problem, is always people taking care of the cars. Security: never have a problem, I have go to different places and is always a fight or whatever, not this place ! Only good people here We always spend more than 250 here, but we eat and drink all night !!! Make reservations!! They always full, specially Saturday!
What an incredible experience! The food was absolutely delicious, specifically the aguachiles verdes and their street tacos. The service was warm, attentive, and made us feel right at home. To top it all off, the Rock en español band & the DJ created the perfect atmosphere for an unforgettable night. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food, great vibes, good music and rock en español 🎶🍽️🎸
I had a great time great food I had the green chilaquiles topped with fajita and where sooo good definitely recommend
The food was very yummy! Only thing I wish is that they have their menu online before heading there to scan for the qr code, but other than that 10/10. The drinks and food are amazing. The atmosphere reminded me so much of the restaurants in Mexico which made it feel more homey. Beautiful atmosphere and I love how the interior looks. Also I came here for Father’s Day so I’m well aware they have live music but there wasn’t a band or loud music being played that day and time.
The place has plenty of seating inside and out. The decor is everywhere though and not too welcoming? The servers were very nice, the food came out on time and it was very delicious but way over priced. Not sure if this is because it's a club after hours ? But I was not very impressed unfortunately.
The food is delicious and the service is great. It is a family place and you can enjoy the music, but the music is too loud if you have kids. My recommendation is that you can pay with cash, because if you pay with a card you will have an extra charge. Enjoy good live music 🎶
