See All ReviewsRecently came here for the first time with my friend for dinner and I’m glad to have tried it. When we came it was a Friday afternoon and it was super busy! We put our name and phone number on the list but unfortunately were never called. We went inside after about twenty minutes of sitting outside and saw our name crossed off, but were sat immediately when we asked for a table. The restaurant is downstairs so you’re technically underground which is kind of a nice experience because it’s different than other places. The inside is cozy, kinda dark, but has charm. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen and I really enjoyed it. The broth was very delicious, rich, flavorful, but not greasy. The noodles had a good chew and the portion was generous. I would come back!
Fresh fish, salmon melts like butter, good portion. Reasonable pricing, And everything was delicious. Service was good and our order was spot on. I love the fact the Amaebi head was completely de-shelled so it was easy to devour the whole thing! Yum! What a great little Gem hidden in downtown Davis.
Can’t beat the food in this place. If I had to choose between here and any other place in Davis… Man, SCREW the other places! This is a top 1 restaurant in the entire city, possibly the whole country. Maybe the world. Maybe. Arigato gozaimasu to the employees who served us.
