See All ReviewsFirst time at Ziggy’s. Rebecca was super friendly and gave me some great suggestions on what to try. She recommended the southern tacos with shrimp and let me tell you it did not disappoint. It was delicious! I went late night on a Friday. They have a few TVs you can watch sports on, music playing and the entire vibe is just upbeat, fun, and inviting!
On Saturday, I spent the entire day packing my house. So, I thought I would go check out a place on Granby Street called, "Ziggy Street Eats." After looking at the menu including the Floor Board Menu I was ready to order. The Turkey Wing dinner that I wanted was sold out. So, I told the girl at the counter it's my first time here and I asked "What do you recommend for the dinner's. She suggested Chop Turkey which I declined! I asked, "What about the Crab Cake and Fries?" She said, "It's Good," but never told me it came full of Ziggy's sauce. I waited for almost twenty minutes, - then I heard the two numbers before mined called and waited and waited, "No Food!" So I got up and went to the counter and the small featured young lady with the gray hairdo when I asked: "Is my food ready yet?" Looked at me and said, 'Your food is over there on the rack, I called your number (3) times. I said, - "No you didn't honey, I've been sitting right there next to the counter waiting for you to call my number." And, if she knew who I was when I got up, "Why didn't she come to my table and say, "Maim, your food is ready!" She knew I ordered Crab Cake and Fry because the girl asked her what dinner's were left and she looked right at me when I said, "I'll take the Crab Cake." I don't appreciate waiting that long to get Luke warm food. Not to cause a scene, I got my food and left. When I got to the car, in the bag were no utensils only napkins. The Crab Cake was sloppy and mushy because it was filled with Ziggy's sauce. I couldn't enjoy the Crab Cake because I don't think that kind of sauce should be put on a Crab. It think it's would've been better if they said, "We put Ziggy's sauce on the Crab Cake, would you like it if on your sandwich or not!" Every body taste isn't the same. There are different strokes for different folks. Me! (Personally), all I like on my Crab Cake is a little hot sauce. I'm glad a new business is in the area but remember: "The people at the Front Counter represent your business, - and if you continue to receive poor Customer Service, - you tend to lose Customer's. Naomi Tucker,
Food was great and came out in a reasonable time. The cashier was very helpful in choosing our selection. We enjoy the ziggy's wings, jerk chicken eggroll in the jerk philly and cheese. Very fresh and juicy.
