See All ReviewsWent there for lunch first time going to this place and thought it was going to be great but I was in for a rude awakening I ordered Turkey wings and my friend ordered the same thing My Turkey wings was dried out my macaroni and cheese was salty and Just noodles. My candy yams was out of the cane and the lady was very, very rude And made it seem like she had somewhere to go she was rushing me to order and I told her i have never been there before and she did not make me feel comfortable Didn't offer water or anything to drink I had to ask her 3 times for water before I got it and when I did receive my water, she did not ask did I want a refill or anything. and when I did receive it i try to support black businesses, but this is one I will not recommend SMH never again wish I could give them no stars.
From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is relaxing and smooth. There is r and b jazz hits playing in the background...but still with a conversation able to be held. Food hot and prepared to order. A vast array of soulful favorites...plus desserts that are appealing as well as delicious. Staff friendly accommodating and attentive. Place is packed and I see why. Hidden gem for me. Military discount honored on Thursdays Live band for holiday events 8 years in business dining side...10 years bakery side. Go early....place gets full quickly.
My first time here and the food is outstanding as well as the atmosphere. They had a live band and the music was great.
