The best BBQ I have had in WV. Second time here. Celebrating the passing of my RN boards ! My husband got the pick 3 and I got the pick 2. 2 or 3 meats and 2 or 3 sides. I chose the beef tri-tip and pulled pork. My sides were potato salad and green beans. My husband picked pulled pork, beef tri-tip, and chopped brisket with potato salad, mac-n-cheese, fries. Your meal also comes with grilled toast and pickled veggies. The meat is just awesome. And the potato salad is the best I have ever had at a restaurant. Really close to the way I make it. The green beans are great as well. Just so good. No complaints about any of it. And I am super picky ! We recommend this restaurant and will be returning.
Our waitress was wonderful. The quality of the food was not great! Lukewarm, bland food: fries, and the mac-n-cheese were awful! I was SO surprised. Still paid $90 dollars for drinks, the two appetizers, two burgers, mac, (beans were the only thing hot with taste), and the sesame cucumbers side (those were actually very good!). The brisket meat was not very warm and tasted subpar. The bacon jam looked like throw-up. Also, the music was too loud. It was hard to have a comfortable conversation and realistically be heard. My sons and I were really looking forward to trying this place. We're very disappointed and I honestly will not return. I don't know what was going on with the cooks back there! I was going to post the receipt, but decided not too.
Bask Smokehouse is awesome. The food was wonderful and the restaurant itself is beautiful and clean inside. Marcus took great care of us and kept everything moving perfectly. The smoked turkey was incredible, and you can’t go wrong with the mac & cheese, deviled eggs, and cornbread. Even the coleslaw and baked beans were spot on. It was a great experience all around, and we’ll definitely be back.
