See All ReviewsOne of my favorite local spots in South Miami, where you will find both regulars and those looking for a nice night out close to home. It has been around far longer than that terrible transplant chain up in Wynwood that tried to steal its name - and with significantly better cuisine (i.e. if you are googling the restaurant, make sure you are going to the right place in South Miami). Phillipe always treats us like we are dining in his personal home. Real French food prepared for over 25 years with the accolades to show for it.
Rude & Horrible service, we were rushed to leave while still drinking coffee. We were seated at 12:45 and by 1:50 the manager or owner kept placing his hands in front of our faces, forcefully removing placemats clearing the table although we were still finishing our meal & drinking our coffee & water. Unacceptable behavior, zero sense of hospitality, what was supposed to be a nice lunch with friends felt rushed throughout especially at the end. I do not recommend this restaurant. Food is average at best, service extremely rude and rushed. Will never return.
I’ve been going there for the past 20 years, always a great fix for jarret d’agneau, their famous couscous merguez, or the classic mussels. Big shoutout to the owner for keeping this place thriving for so long, and especially to Lalo, who does an excellent job. I still can’t pronounce the new restaurant name, it will always be Pastis for us. My condolences to Valérie, who left a real void in the South Miami restaurant scene.
