See All ReviewsIf you are looking for authentic Salvadorian food, this isn’t it. The plantains were not ready or ripe yet and cut thick which parts did not cook all the way through. The pupusas were not cooked all the way through and they blamed it on the cheese. Lemonade was $5 and isn’t even natural. The pictures and decor is nice along with the music.
My experience at this place was very disappointing. The chips were stale, and the lemonade they advertise as “fresh” clearly wasn’t. I ordered pupusas, but they came out half cooked. The masa was still undercooked, so I couldn’t even eat them. When I told the waitress the masa wasn’t fully cooked, she said that’s just how they make them, until the masa “fluffs up.” She didn’t offer to put them back on the grill or fix the issue. I ended up leaving the food there. I still paid for it, but I will never return. When I order pupusas, I want to taste the flavor of the filling, not undercooked masa. I should of drove to pasadena instead.
The pupusas were good but I don’t think I would come again to pay $30 for 4 pupusas and 1 horchata and 1 sprite.
