David Lum is the best host. We were not in a rush and enjoyed our selves. We came back another time and brought two couples from Ann Arbor and they still keep talking about going back. The Wasabi Salad dressing has just the right amount of kick. Old Rikshaw favorites are still available as well - Mandarin Delight.
I dined here last week with my wife. I must say, we were very impressed. The ambiance was pleasant and the wait staff was friendly. I ordered the filet and it was cooked to perfection. As a bonus, their wine selection is great. We would definitely recommend this restaurant!
I have been a frequent diner here for over ten years. The food is amazing but best of all it is actually FUN AND ENTERTAINING to come here!! I see that a few of the previous reviews claim that the prices here are too high. Well - please allow me to say that the prices here are not only reasonable - they are VERY REASONABLE! Everything on the menu is excellent and the featured items are outstanding!
Their Veal Parmesan is literally the best dinner I have had at any restaurant in my whole life. It makes any other Veal Parmesan at any Italian restaurant seem like a joke.
All the bad reviews made us leery of going, there is even a "servers wanted"sign in the window. The good was good, large portions. The waiter did bring out the wrong appetizer and rushed us along but he was nice.
I was in the restaurant today 08/08/12, the food was good (the Mahi Mahi was a little overcooked)but the service was very cold. I have been there a few times, but this time went with the whole family. The owner basically walked around and greeted everyone and some how skipped my table twice, then when I was leaving just stood and starred saying nothing to me while greeting other customers coming and leaving. I believe when one pays that much for okay food, one can at least get good service.
To start we had the fried calamari that was mediocre at best as it was overcooked and was not paired well as ours was served with scallions and onions (no green peppers like the menu described). Also the bread that comes with each meal just seemed out of place at this restaurant and again was just average. Next, we ordered the hot and sour soup that was just average. I have had this soup on numerous occasions and found this to not measure up to some of the low scale Chinese and Thai restaurants I frequent. For our main entrees we ordered the Hawaiian Mahi Mahi and the Kung Pao Shrimp. The Mahi Mahi was overcooked which did not help the dish at all. The Kung Pao Shrimp on the other hand was the best item that we had all night. However, this was significantly over priced for Chinese food especially when we only enjoyed one of the dishes we had. Therefore, we will not be going back.
Wonderful food, atmosphere & service . Everything we ordered was flavorful & well portioned. We were lucky to be seated quickly on a saturday-don't make our mistake-make a reservation!
