The photo is the French dip special for $18.95!!! This is a few slices of roast beef deli meat on a burger bun with beef broth, not aujus not gravy just broth and not even a handful of French fries. My liver dinner had 2 nice slices of liver and maybe 3 slivers of onions, cold mash potatoes that absolutely were mixed with instant to stretch them. Gravy was runny and I spit the green beans back into their container - mush and definitely not fresh and tasted like tinfoil. There was no tinfoil anywhere to cause this. I understand that everything’s more expensive now, but this is not the quality that I am used to from this establishment sincerely, disappointed. $32 for two meals and I’m still having to cook to feed us.
My friend and I were invited by a regular patron on Saturday February 21. First thing I noticed was every table was filled with people enjoying the food. It was worth the five minute wait. Cassandra was our server and even though she was new, she was very pleasant and observant and frequently checked to see if we needed anything. She's an asset for sure. It was truly a diner experience. Large variety of meal choices and ability to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner at any time of the day. We will definitely return when we are in the area A++++
Stopped for breakfast but it was lunch time, I got chicken fried steak with eggs. The eggs because the yolk has a very deep color is high quality fresh and the taste is outstanding. I would love to know where they get them eggs at? The prices are more than fair and actually good considering what portions they serve. We are highly impressed and definitely plan to return. I really like that this is not some corporate but a local family.
Just done eating an amazing lunch, shout out to chef John. The burger was great. I love hunting to have Sunday lunch here. We'll be back again next week. Great food, great atmosphere.
Great food and service had the Hungry mans Breakfast and was very happy with the food and how quick they made it. I’ll definitely be back.
My family and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Grandpa's Diner in Port Saint Lucie, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and the entire staff was exceptionally polite and attentive. The food truly was the star of the show—everything we ordered was delicious, hot, and prepared perfectly. It's clear that the kitchen takes great pride in their work, delivering fantastic comfort food. What truly set this visit apart was the incredible service provided by Valerie. She went completely out of her way to make sure my family and I felt welcome, taken care of, and truly valued as guests. Her genuine warmth and kindness are a testament to the high standards of hospitality at Grandpa's Diner. We highly recommend stopping by! We can't wait to come back soon.
Went here for a birthday meal. Brother in law turning 81. Usually in most restaurants they either sing to you or a desert if some kind. I guess that don’t do that here. Our table ordered Chicken fingers, steak Salad, chicken quesadilla and spaghetti and meatballs. I would like to report everything was really good…it was not. The chicken fingers were over cooked, all 3 orders. The spaghetti and meatballs were under seasoned and I am not sure what they use to make these meatballs but they need a new recipe with better flavor and texture in the meatball. Not a good plate of food at all. The 8 oz New York strip for the salad was ordered medium, it came hammered. Super well done and was so tough I could barely cut it up. It seemed like nothing prepared hot or cooked was from the freezer and not fresh. What was good? Friendly staff. Great service and a good atmosphere. I do see that they serve lunch and breakfast. I might give it another try for breakfast. Finally, went to the men’s restroom to wash my hands and there was some sort of food substance in the sink. Not good.
Grandpa's Diner is located in a strip mall. It may not look like much from the outside, but I am sure that you would be pleasantly surprised. Hungry and looking for something other than fast food, I stopped by there with a friend while out running errands. The restaurant could have better lighting, but the place is clean, the food there was inexpensive (I had the three eggs and sausage special, it was only $6.99), and the service was top notch. Grandpa's Diner is definitely a place I would go back to and I highly recommend that you give them a try.
