The veggies in the curry tasted very fresh. Perfectly crispy katsu that doesn't feel heavy once you finish the plate - assuming you finish since both the rice and katsu portions are quite generous. Loved the soup and radish too. Every component of the meal was exceptional. Service was super friendly by who I assume are a husband and wife duo running the restaurant. I recommend the gyoza appetizer as well since it comes with a really tasty seasoned soy sauce for dip. Definitely coming back!!
Came with friends for lunch. Not too many seats so good to go when it's not too busy. Little family run place, the food is worth the wait. Not too many menu options but the ones on their were good. Very reasonable prices for the food you get and it's very tasty. Really rich broth, good chasu and the egg is great. Definitely recommended! No Amex, but tap to pay is available. Tea is extra but service is great at refilling your tea pot.
Food was quite good - i ordered a tonkatsu curry plate and it was quite a heavy serving with a side of miso soup, a dipping sauce, and some kimchi. The food itself was good. My partner got a bowl of ramen which was good but we did find a small meal worm at the end of the meal, chalking that up to an honest mistake with fresh veggies. it happens. The wait time was quite bad, 2:00 pm on a Saturday and we waited maybe 20 minutes to have an order taken and another 20 for food. tonkatsu and ramen should be maybe 5. The restaurant was a bit dirty and smelled of stale cigarettes, too. Unfortunate because again the food was actually pretty good and the pricing was competitive but everything else was quite bad.
