Was staying in the hotel crossed? The highway was then walking distance. Great food, great price. Very kind people working there. You know what's got to be good because all the locals eat there.
Visitor in town, I went for the monday meal. fried chicken, pork chop, sides. I've eaten a lot of places. They all had flavor to their meals. Not this place. I seriously don't even think they own a seasoning. Bland bland bland. Only 2 stars because the apple cobbler tasted like you'd expect, and it helped wash down the cornstarch breeding and the boxed mashed potato taste. Sheesh. I'd feel bad about it but dammit y'all said country. I was excited. Edit: took it to 1 star. Texture of the cobbler was... Biological, to say the least. I will say though the people were really nice. That's one big plus.
Every dish so far is excellent. Classic country cooking with fresh food. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.
