Was so excited to see Puerto Rican food in Gainesville! I tried the fried potato ball with ground beef and the mofongo topped with a mountain of roast pork. Both were DELICIOUS!! Now I'm hooked will definitely be back!
The food taste amazing! However costumer service is close to non existent. Also, we asked for a specific type of fish and charged us for it and gave us the wrong dish. :( The food can be amazing,but if your costumer service is bad...people won't go again. Also, please, mofongo is made with plantain. I think yuca mofongo is misleading since it doesn't contain plantain in it... Just call it what it is...yuca Al ajillo 🥴
You absolutely must try this incredible Puerto Rican counter-style restaurant that is without a doubt the best food option in the Oaks Mall. Everything is homemade, delicious, and genuinely authentic. The owner is extremely friendly and so happy to be sharing her family's amazing recipes. This visit I had the wonderful roast pork, pigeon peas and rice, yucca with mojo and a meat filled yucca fritter with their special house sauce. I have now found my new favorite Gainesville Caribbean restaurant!
