I really did have high hopes for this location, especially after reading all the good reviews. I ordered the brisket sandwich, with extra meat+$3.00 and asked for it to be sliced and a moist cut. The sandwich I received was shredded brisket with extremely dry, and hard day old brisket mix together. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. It was an extremely poor quality sandwich. And example of barbecue. I definitely will not be back and definitely do not recommend.
It was our first time at One's BBQ in Lavon, TX and the brisket was moist and not over smoky tasting, just the way I like it. The smoked sausage with cheese was really good as well. Heck, It all was! The owner was very nice, and the outdoor seating was clean and cute! Oh, don’t forget the homemade sweet cornbread!! We will be back!! Grab some on your way home from work, you'll be glad you did!

Smoked over pecan wood, and you can genuinely taste it — that subtle sweetness layered into every bite. The bark had structure without overpowering the meat, and the fat was beautifully integrated. This wasn’t rushed BBQ. It was patient BBQ. The Pork Ribs Seasoned to perfection with a deep, confident bark. The rub complemented the smoke rather than fighting it. You bite in, and it pulls clean — exactly how ribs should behave. The Sauce House-made and balanced. Sweet, tangy, just enough heat. It enhanced the meat rather than masking it — which tells you everything about their confidence in the product. The Side Classic potato salad. Creamy, comforting, and exactly what you want next to proper smoked meat. This is the kind of place that reminds you why BBQ matters. It’s not about scale. It’s not about hype. It’s about craft, patience, and love. A wonderful experience. I’ll be back.
