Last week I visited Pauly's BBQ for the first time. We were promptly greeted and the service was great. The beef brisket, pulled pork nacho's, and fried pickles were excellent. Price's are reasonable for the sizeable portions. Would recommend to any BBQ fans visiting Arthur Illinois.
I had a great late lunch today. The place is small and today I counted 9 workers there today. But, I couldn't even get my waitress to return to refill my water. They need to work on service rather than mingling and socializing behind the counter.
I usually love this place and they have delicious food, but we ate there today and I was with my elderly parents that don’t eat that much. When we ordered our food my parents said they were sharing a meal and the very kind waitress asked if we would like an extra plate and I say yes that would be great. So we ate and received our bill and they charged us 1.50 for the extra plate. I ask our kind waitress if that charge was because they shared a meal and she said no it’s because you used the extra plate. I was stunned I’m like really?? I think that’s completely taking advantage of people and I was totally angry. I didn’t say anything else but,I’m not sure I’ll be back and if I do I’ll not ask for a plate if I’m going to share lol. How ridiculous
