Our first experience and we'd like to say no complaints! Everything was cooked the way we asked and quite tasty may I add😊 This spot is now one of our go-toos when visiting AC🤗
Host and waitress were great. Friendly, smiling and professional. However, the coffee was straight up disgusting. It had a very off putting flavor. I dont know if the beans were old or the machine hadn't been cleaned. Something was very off. Also, corned beef hash was OK at best. I think they use spam or something. Home fries were very average. The eggs were the best part. They were pretty solid. Seemed fresh. Pancakes were very gummy and a bit dry. I wish I could give a better review, but I value transparency. I have no idea how this place has a 4.5 star average. After our experience I would say it deserves a 3 at best.
We spent over a week in AC during the December slow season and went to Perry's for breakfast our first morning -- then we kept on going there every day for the rest of our vacation, because they were just that good. Perry's is an unpretentious diner, the kind NJ excels in. They make absolutely no effort to cater to tourists, which is exactly the way we like it. If you're like us and prefer to avoid casinos and the Boardwalk, you'll find Perry's refreshingly outside the bubble while still being centrally located. Everything we had was reliably good, came in generous portions that usually resulted in leftovers, and I don't think there's anything on the menu over $15 or so. Staff were super nice and remembered us after a few days. It's officially our go-to breakfast spot in AC and may it never change.
