I was very disappointed with my experience at their sharyland location. My first bad experience is when my food was served with a fly in it, which immediately raised serious concerns about cleanliness and food safety. When I brought the issue to the attention of the typing man who was acting as the server, cashier, and host, the only response I received was a question asking whether I wanted another soup. There was little concern shown for the situation or the inconvenience caused. My second horrible experience here is when the cup I was given appeared to have dust or dirt inside, and the glass looked like it had a buildup of soap residue that had not been properly rinsed. The restaurant also did not have any ice available, so my water was served straight from the tap at room temperature. Between the contaminated food, questionable drinkware, lack of basic beverage service, and poor handling of the complaint, this experience fell far below basic expectations for cleanliness and customer service. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and improves both sanitation practices and how customer complaints are handled.
Place was cute and calm. I went mid day to eat and it was wonderful. I got the Pho beef and it was really good. Large protion in my opinion. It wasn't the best pho ive had here in the RGV but its still good something warm and cozy for a long day of stress or running around
I really enjoy the food here, it’s genuinely delicious. However, in the past five months, I’ve gone about three times during their regular business hours and found the place closed. They don’t seem to update their instagram or post when they’re unexpectedly closed, which makes it frustrating especially after driving 20–30 minutes. It’s disappointing to arrive with a craving only to find the doors shut. I hope they can improve communication about closures because the food truly is worth the trip.
Very cute spot however the food was extremely disappointing. I got the Bun Bo Hue, and it just tasted like pho broth that they made a little spicy. It was missing a lot of the Bun Bo Hue flavor profile in it, they also didn't have Sa te. The only thing good in my dish was the Vietnamese Sausage. My partner got the Vermicelli Bowl and there was 2 tiny pieces of meat cuts while the rest were cuts of just fat, the fish sauce didn't have enough flavor so it tasted very bland, the egg rolls also tasted like they were pulled out of the freezer. In conclusion we will not be going back.
The food is excellent! I love the fried wings and the #1. I've had allot of pho and this is my absolute favorite. With that being said, the customer service is appalling. I went in on 11/04/25 at about 7:15pm and they only had one server with about 6 tables. The server was super rude, he threw the menu's down and took like 30 minutes to take our drink order. When I requested something for our food like soy sauce or limes, he wouldn't acknowledge me, he would just walk away and take 10 minutes to fulfill my request. Even though the food is very tasty, I don't know if I'll be coming back.... the service was too awful. It feels like they know the service is awful but they still get business because the food is so good. I think customer service is extremely important, because why would I want to give my money to people who treat me like trash? 🤔
Pho Le Lai in Mission, Texas, is a fantastic spot for authentic Vietnamese food! I stopped by for lunch and ordered the BBQ Pork rice dish, and it was absolutely delicious. The pork was perfectly grilled with a slightly sweet and savory flavor, tender on the inside with just the right amount of char on the outside. It came with a generous portion of fluffy steamed rice, fresh vegetables, and a side of fish sauce that tied everything together beautifully. The presentation was clean and appetizing, and the flavors tasted fresh. The portion size was more than enough to fill me up, and the price was very reasonable for the quality.
Super yummy food. Fairly authentic and large portions. The Pho is on target and the spring rolls are not your usual cabbage and meat flavor added. But truly Vietnamese spring rolls! Service was fast and our hostess was very Deep South Texas Friendly! If we venture this far North in the RGV. This will be our spot for Vietnamese food. Plotted. Scouts Out.
My husband picked this restaurant while driving around looking for a new place to try and I can definitely say we will gladly be returning! The smell was so captivating as soon as you walk into the restaurant and the food tasted even better. We had Jet as our server and he was so knowledgeable about the food and the cooking processes. He was very hospitable and checked in on us frequently to make sure our drinks never got too low and we were enjoying our food. It was so hard to pick something off the menu because everything sounded so good, but eventually I ordered lo mein and my husband ordered pad Thai. Both were delicious and flavorful! Very pleased and satisfied with this place. Highly recommend 🙂
