Came in early and ordered a small pho. Don’t let that fool you, the portions are solid and you leave full. The broth is what I keep thinking about. It runs sweet, which caught me off guard, but it’s incredibly clean and soft. Honestly one of the best I’ve had in Seattle, and I’ve had a lot of pho. There’s a real mom and pop feel here that you just don’t find much anymore. It was literally a sweet grandma and grandpa. You feel it the moment you walk in. The chili oil is its own thing. I can’t fully explain it but there’s something about it that just works. It’s the kind of thing you find yourself thinking about later. Prices are some of the lowest in the city for what you’re getting. I’d pay more without hesitation. Coming back soon.
The broth is one of the best I've ever had. Ordered the pho tai eye round it was delicious and they were generous with the portion of beef.
Pho Vietnam deserves to be a contender for one of the best pho cafes in North Seattle. After spending the entirety of my life eating pho around the greater Seattle area; this is the most consistent, no-nonsense, soul-affirming bowl of soup I've found, by a large margin. The nuoc cham that arrives with their egg rolls is made in house with pepper flake and grated carrot. They do not add corn syrup. It should also be noted, the carrot is an extremely well thought out way to balance the fishy-acidic sauce. Their chili paste at the table is also house made with what seems to be palm sugar. It is delicious. Use one of the small sauce dishes they provide table side and pair it with their hoisin.
Pho as authentic as it gets. 😄 Great little hole in the wall. It's low-end so wouldn't recommend for dates. They have a free desert promo and those treats are TASTY!
Neighborhood pho joint. Family run. Decent portions, solid prices. Clean-ish. We’re regulars when we need pho! It’s not the warmest place inside but that’s what the pho is for. Parking right out front when it’s not a bus lane or they have a small pothole-ridden lot in the back.
As a Vietnamese, I find this place phenomenal. Their phó broth looks plain when it arrived but the flavor is so delicious! I'm very impressed! I would say this is my favorite phó place in Seattle. The place is I'm a but has enough tables for dining in. Service was friendly. The price is so much friendlier to other Viet restaurants. Check them out if you are in Ballard.
Great prices and service. The pho was very good and their meatballs are homemade. Their broth is slightly sweeter than others I’ve had, which wasn’t my favorite but definitely not bad. The egg rolls were also very good. I would recommend if you’re looking for a warm affordable meal in the area.
Has become my go to for pho. Was big bowl until they closed down from the fire next door. Pho broth is deep and price is reasonable. They are quick in the kitchen and server is always nice. Agree with other reviewers in that they could clean the inside a little.
