See All ReviewsI came here and picked up some food for dinner. The restaurant was empty, but there were a lot of people went in and out for takeouts. The staff was really nice and friendly and took my order right away. I ordered lamb curry (medium heat) and chicken dum biryani (medium heat). The food was good, the chicken and lamb were tasty, soft and tender. However, I wish there were more spices being used; in general, it was good, but the flavor wasn’t really there.
Priya makes best Chicken Biryani..it reminds me of Hyderabad..I still haven't come across restaurant in Michigan or many places I have traveled across US. I love Tandoori chicken, 65 and many more dishes here.. I have been dining here from 2004/5 and have been impressed with consistency and quality food.
Priya Restaurant is amongst the very best Indian restaurants that I've ate at. The food is five star gourmet, made fresh, unlike (for example) some restaurants who have rice sitting in a pot throughout the day. The food is garnished & well presented with great service. The spice level is also much better at this place than any other Indian restaurant that I've been to. I highly recommend Priya Restaurant to anyone that likes or wants to try authentic gormet Indian food. If you haven't already, I also recommend trying a bottle/glass of Indian beer with your food here.
