2 months agoSamad Cafe is a hidden gem in Dallas. The food is rich in flavour and clearly made with care, with generous portions that leave you satisfied. The menu has a good variety, the prices are fair, and the service is warm and attentive. The relaxed, no-frills atmosphere makes it a great place for a casual meal. I’d definitely return.

2 months agoBefore I left, he said: “This isn’t a restaurant. This is your kitchen—treat it like home.” That pretty much sums up Samad Café. Thirty-eight years. 38 YEARSSSSSSS!!! Same menu, same hours… talk about consistency!!!! The place is simple, warm, and genuinely welcoming. The food tastes like it’s cooked with care—no, scratch that… with LOVE. The rice is on point, and the lamb shank is fall-apart tender—an absolute must-try. And the owner has this calm, soothing presence that makes you slow down and actually enjoy your meal like you’re home. Honestly? I’d take this over a lot of “Michelin-vibe” steakhouses Ive been to, any day.

3 months agoHands down the BEST Iranian/ Persian food I’ve had in the Dallas area. Prices are amazing and the owners are extremely sweet. It’s a family-owned restaurant, you’re not going for a fine-dining experience. The atmosphere when you walk in is very welcoming, as if you’re a guest in their home. 10/10 would recommend. Tahdig was to die for! Worth the trip to visit this place!

4 months agoSecond time visiting here. Good home-made Iranani cuisine. Simplicity at its finest. Is it the most incredible food in the area? No. But it's worth a visit if you're looking to broaden your palette horizons. The prices are a bit too high, in my opinion. I go out to eat every week, but these prices are higher than most, and the portion sizes are much smaller. Recommended, but you can just find better Middle Eastern food for half the price and just as good somewhere else.

6 months agoMr. Samad, or “Sam” as he introduced himself, is a gentleman whose homemade food is only outmatched by his warmness and kindness. It was a great pleasure of mine to stop by today and patron his restaurant. I most certainly will be stopping by in the future Lord willing.

10 months agoI genuinely don’t understand how this place has so many 5-star reviews , it feels completely fake. My experience at Samad Cafe was one of the worst I’ve ever had at any restaurant. To start, the prices are outrageous for what you get. The building is old and falling apart. The kitchen is filthy , the floors are black with grease and look like they haven’t been cleaned in ages. Just walking in, I was shocked at how run-down everything looked. The parking lot is a mess, with cars scattered around like a junkyard right at the entrance. Inside, things only got worse. There was an old dusty freezer in plain sight, and rusty, broken-down items used as “decorations.” The dining area was cluttered and chaotic and shockingly, there was a bed full of clothes and personal items in one corner, as if someone lives there. The plates they use are old, scratched-up plastic , the kind that looks like it came from a dollar store a decade ago. The food itself? Completely undercooked, tasteless, and clearly not handled with care. I couldn’t even eat it. To make matters worse, I saw roaches crawling around and even a rat near the back of the room. It was absolutely disgusting. This place is unsanitary, unsafe, and should not be operating. I left immediately and honestly felt sick just from being there. Save yourself the experience, avoid Samad Cafe at all costs.
