See All ReviewsHusband and I had a great meal here last night. We were in the mood for seafood and Sfizi didn’t disappoint! He had the frutti del mar and I had their risotto special with shrimp. They were both delicious! And the quality of the seafood was excellent. They had a featured red wine for half price, so that was a welcome surprise. Also, great cappuccino. Service was welcoming and attentive. Give it a try!
I went for lunch by myself during a slow hour. Overall enjoyed the comfortable experience as I take myself on lunch dates often. The owner was my server, she was very friendly and genuine. I’ve been looking for a good Italian spot near me as I’ve struggled to find a go-to since moving to the area. I ordered a caprese salad and linguini carbonara. I am not very picky for caprese salads, so nothing amazing. The carbonara was lovely and will struggle to try something new when I return, it was great!
I came in expecting a little slice of Italy and left feeling like I’d just taken a confusing detour through a gas station in New Jersey. Let’s start with the pizza. Calling it “mediocre” feels generous—like describing a soggy handshake as “enthusiastic.” It wasn’t offensive, just deeply, impressively forgettable. Now, the espresso. This is where things really went off the rails. The guy making it was literally fumbling through the process and looking at me like, “is this right?”—which is not the kind of collaborative experience I’m looking for when ordering coffee. I didn’t realize I’d be emotionally supporting the barista through the extraction. And the result? A tiny cup of pure regret. Bitter, harsh, and somehow both watery and aggressive at the same time. It tasted like the machine itself was confused. Afterwards, he informed he didn't know how to do it. I should not have paid this bill, but my shock overtook my confrontation. Service overall was nice, which only made the experience more surreal—like everyone was doing their best in a situation that clearly needed adult supervision. Would I come back? Only if I’m in the mood to participate in a live-action espresso tutorial and eat pizza that tastes like a suggestion.
