2 months agoThis place is NOT friendly to outsiders. I pass through cole camp once a week and ive been dying to stop in so I did and I ordered the "Italian" sandwich and while im waiting theres an older couple that kept starring i looked away finallly had enough and starred back until they looked away, the staffs eyeballing me and whispering being obvious they finally got my sandwich and for 8$ and a 3$ tip im super disappointed it was terribly thin and just terrible stay away if your not from cole camp.

3 months agoThe food was fantastic, once we got it. For not being overly busy, it seemed to take a while to receive our meal. We both had the schnitzel. The one topped with a creamy garlic sauce was absolutely delicious! Great hot German Potato Salad and kraut! Too full for dessert, but the menu options looked wonderful! Great family environment and friendly locals made this visit special!

6 months agoI am not a huge fan of german food but this place is so far my favorite. I took my husband here for his birthday. He loves german food and this was his number one place as well. We tried places in Michigan, Kansas City and California. You can taste all the flavors in their dishes. We had 3 appetizers. My favorite was the homemade pretzel and the sausage. We had a 2 different meals and 4 deserts. I loved both meals I honestly couldn't decide which was better. Out of the deserts my favorite were the bead pudding and cheesecake. My husband had the lighter german beer and loved it. He wants to visit Germany after eating here.

7 months agoOne of my favorite restaurants. Authentic German food. Get the pretzel as an appetizer! A must try culinary and cultural experience if you ever pass through the quaint and historic downtown of Cole Camp. The service is excellent and the restaurant is in historic brick building. Make sure you try one of their home made cake slices for dessert. You won’t regret it.

8 months agoWow! Being German in the US I’m always in search of authentic German cuisine. I’ve been told about the German Table and tonight was the perfect time to go. The atmosphere is an old German building. I was lucky as tonight was the buffet. Pork and chicken schnitzel, German potato salad, Spatzel, green beans, and an assortment of wursts with sauerkraut and of course red cabbage. I tried them all along with a traditional German dark beer. The food was extremely good as well as the service. A wonderful dinner and worth my drive! You won’t be disappointed.

Edited 6 months agoThe German Table has always been one of our favorite spots! So much so our child works there now!!! Spectacular food and service! The pretzels are a must and dessert is to die for!!! Try the Black Forest cake or Tort!!! Try the Cheesecake special too! Absolutely fantastic!!! Love trying the different German beers!!! My personal favorite is the “knockwurst” with a side of red cabbage and warm German potato salad! ENJOY!!!

2 years agoAbsolutely amazing! The jagerschnitzel and Rahmschnitzel both awesome! Ruben dip was awesome, pretzel was awesome. Definitely will be going back! And don't get me started on the Coconut Cream Cheesecake! Go there, now!
